It not only welcomes, but also celebrates, the essence of mountain life.
In this interior design, our main mission was to recreate real mountain shelters, without giving up the comforts and luxuries of modern times.
Every detail of this authentic space was meticulously crafted in the interior design project to capture the vibrant essence of life in the heights.
Decorative objects alluding to life in the mountains, such as old skis, sledges, animal skins or wooden sticks of various sizes that serve as benches, tables or original mirror frames, have been purposely placed in this interior design to give it a nostalgic and adventurous feel.
Some of the walls were clad in wooden logs, others were covered in intriguing wallpaper with leaves from a book of poems and others were painted black to convey a contemporary feel to the interior design and, at the same time, echo the sighs of contemplative solitude in the mountains.
The animal skin rugs, mountain fireplace and wooden pieces were used in the interior design to add warmth and comfort to the room, creating a cozy sanctuary away from the hectic world below.
The wall separating the bedroom from the living room is a masterpiece of rusticity. It is clad in logs and adorned with a double-sided fireplace that spreads its light and makes the whole interior design overflow with warmth and coziness.
However, it's in the bathroom that the real magic happens in interior design. Interior designer Margarida Bugarim placed a free-standing bathtub strategically positioned in front of an immense panoramic window, offering breathtaking views of firs and stone pines: a veritable living picture of wild nature.
With this brilliant interior design project, every bath has been transformed into a sensory journey, where the scents of the forest mingle with the softness of the water to create a moment of incomparable peace and serenity.
In this interior design project for an enchanted refuge in the heights, each element has been carefully chosen by the interior designer and masterfully arranged, not just to create an ambience, but to weave an engaging and exciting narrative, where the harmony between human beings and nature is celebrated in all its grandeur and beauty.
Rustic interior design is more than an aesthetic language, it's a state of mind, an environment that makes you feel at home wherever you are.
It's a celebration of the beauty found in simplicity, an appreciation of the past and a connection with nature. Each element of rustic décor tells a story from ancient times, bringing with it the warmth of a cozy home and the beauty of days gone by.
In a rustic interior design project, we like to use natural and antique materials. Dining tables are usually sturdy and made of solid wood, armchairs of soft leather and sticks, hand-woven rugs in wool, leather or even jute and other natural fibers - everything echoes the beauty of simplicity and authenticity.
The color palette in this type of rustic interior design is usually interpreted by Margarida Bugarim as a set of deep, warm gradients of earth tones, whites and greens.
The windows are invariably dressed with light linen or cotton curtains, while the warmth of the fireplace lights up the room with a cozy flame on colder days.
It's in the details of the rustic interior design that we are surprised, with little treasures scattered everywhere: a wicker basket filled with wild flowers, a tapestry hanging on the wall, an arrangement of candles on the coffee table, pictures and dishes arranged on the walls.
Each object in the rustic interior design seems to have a story to tell, a memory to share, a place to reminisce and where the scents of fresh bread, herbs picked from the garden and homemade dishes fill the air.
This is the essence of any rustic interior design project signed by Margarida Bugarim's studio.
