Interior Decoration of Luxury Apartment in Parque das NaçõesThis magnificent luxury apartment enjoys fantastic views over the Tejo
All the work carried out by the studio, both in the interior architecture project and the interior design project, was aimed at improving the experience of the homeWith an interior architecture and interior design project signed by Margarida Bugarim, this magnificent luxury apartment in the former Expo area, now Parque das Nações, enjoys fantastic views over the Tejo, and the Vasco da Gama Bridge, just a stone's throw from the Lisbon Oceanarium.
The interior design project recommended some refurbishment work, particularly in the bathrooms and kitchen, and converted this 5-bedroom apartment into a spacious 3-bedroom, adapting some of the rooms to the needs of the couple and their son.
All the work carried out by the studio, both in the interior architecture project and the interior design project, was aimed at improving the experience of the home, adapting it to the style and comfort of today, and essentially elevating its design. To this end, when drawing up the interior design project as a whole, we analyzed and studied the clients' behaviors and habits and went to great lengths to find out what their vices were how they moved around the house, how much space their clothes, books and kitchen utensils took up so that we could adapt all the interior design items to the new home. We chose oak paneling to cover the hall's walls, an option that makes the interior design of this luxury apartment very intimate and welcoming.
Lighting was also very much a part of the interior design project. Recessed or spotlighting was only used in the common areas, the kitchen, and bathrooms and at specific points where the interior decoration was to be given special prominence, leaving the rest of the areas illuminated to decorative lighting. The interior design project opted for more focused and intimate lighting in the living room and more diffused and general lighting in the dining area.
The ceiling lamp over the dining table is the well-known Vibia Wire Flow model, and to illuminate the beige sofa in the TV corner, the interior design used also an iconic Flos model. For more fluid access and greater spaciousness in the apartment, the interior designers opted for iron doors with large panes of glass in some of the passageways. We designed an interior design project that transformed one of the bedrooms into the couple's dressing room and gave the bathroom a little more space, turning the couple's bedroom into a real luxury suite, both in terms of its size and the careful interior decoration full of details. This very spacious room is a true refuge and an ode to peace and tranquility.
Calm tones and natural materials were deliberately chosen to convey well-being and comfort in the interior design. A bio-ethanol fireplace served as the base for a beautiful oak-framed bookcase with a built-in TV and two blocks of shelves flanking it.
Busts of ancestors placed in a wall niche add the necessary touch to break up the contemporaneity of the interior design. The huge Italian-designed armchair makes up a reading corner, and the fabrics, cushions and carpet chosen for this interior design project remind us of comfort, well-being and quality, flags that are always present in the interior design projects in which the Margarida Bugarim atelier excels.
With the refurbishment of the apartment outlined in the interior design and interior decoration project, the living room gained a new dining area, taking advantage of the view and making it possible to convert the existing fireplace into a beautiful double-sided fireplace. The black slatted paneled wall stands out and is the highlight of the interior design project. The owners' works of art were analyzed and chosen to embellish the furniture that was meticulously selected for the interior design project. At the same time, a few more pieces of art were added, suggested by the studio's art curation and home styling service.
Organic fabrics and natural materials in a monochrome palette were the motto for the successful interior design of this luxury apartment. The chaise longue with its very minimal and straight lines gains new dynamism with the ethnic pattern chosen for the upholstery. The walls were all covered in natural straw to add comfort and sophistication to the interior design. In the dining area, Margarida Bugarim designed a bookcase with an oak-paneled area and a sliding door in straw.
Design elements, rustic classics, and contemporary pieces are mixed in the interior design project, much in the style of the atelier, making this room such an eclectic and original environment.
In the interior design project for the kitchen, we opted to demolish the existing pantry to give it more space and integrate the previous sunroom into the kitchen space, transforming it into a larger, more uniform area. The kitchen has thus been given a new lease of life, resulting in a large space with lots of light, making it the central hub of the house. The materials chosen in the interior design process were based on natural stone for the floor and wall coverings and wood. The neutral and soft tones selected in the interior design make this space as welcoming as it is clinical. In addition to the meal preparation area with a central island, the interior design also made it possible to add a pleasant small dining area with a round table, a bench, and a very romantic lamp above it.
In the interior design of the outdoor space, we took advantage of the opportunity to create a living area and a dining area, often as an extension of the living room, with green surroundings geometrically distributed throughout the space. The Italian-designed garden furniture chosen for the interior design was love at first sight and the owners didn't want to give up on the studio's initial choice. It was a great option and couldn't have gone better with the flooring and wall lanterns.
